Our day in Downtown

So if any of you are from L.A. you know the place to go to find deals is Downtown. So off I went with Michelle Saturday morning to scout the city in search of deals! We got a pretty good idea of what I would need and we got some stuff that we needed and (cough) some that we didn't.

She was pretty excited to be there! (She doesn't get out much)
She found a Choni tree! That is Spanish for underwear, yes an underwear tree. (sigh) My friends are hilarious. For the bridal shower they are asking everyone to buy on piece of underwear so they can hang it on a tree. I'm going to have a lot of underwear. Haha

Completely random! We saw this at the flower mart, they're pineapples. It must be a new trend. Anybody heard of this?
I bought a Christmas tree :) R.J. found it strange....

Until I told him Michelle bought some moss...

Our accomplishment of the day was finding burlap. I want burlap table runners for the wedding and it took us forever to find this material so we bough the whole role for 2.50 a yard. We carried that thing for 2 blocks (it was hot) only to find that another store sold in for 1.00 a yard. I was about to cry, I shouldn't have even asked.

Michelle asked some city workers if she could have the branches they were cutting down (to make the choni tree). They said yes :)
I thought this dress was amazing for a wedding, just not mine :/
This one however might work :)

Then we went to the mall and got totally distracted. This picture is not Photoshopped, pretty cool right?

That was our Saturday adventure. It was all around pretty fun and productive.

P.S. 47 until the wedding :)

I LOVE the flower/fabric district. I went there several times for our wedding...and I go there occasionally just for fun. It's crazy and fantastic all at the same time. The fabric district is tricky because you really do have to haggle with them to get the price down. I hope you did! :)
